The EDI 204 Motor Carrier Load Tender is sent by a shipper or freight broker to a carrier to offer a freight shipment. The carrier responds with a 990 Response to Load Tender.

Transaction Flow

204 → 990 (carrier accepts/declines) → 214 (status updates in transit) → 210 (carrier invoice). SCAC code in B2 must match the carrier's registered SCAC.
